UN Explodes on Israel: ‘Mass Killing’ Allegations the World Can’t Ignore

GENEVA – The United Nations’ top human rights official has issued a searing condemnation of Israel’s military conduct in the Gaza Strip, accusing the nation of “mass killing” and obstructing vital humanitarian aid. The statement, delivered in Geneva, intensifies the international legal and political pressure on Israel over its protracted conflict with Hamas.

Speaking at the opening of the 60th session of the Human Rights Council on Monday, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk presented a series of alleged abuses.
